The mayor of St. Louis just read the names and addresses of protesters who wanted to defund the police during a TV address.

Fucking hell. Please stay... as safe as reasonably possible in times like these. If you can't stay safe, be lucky.

Starr lived in St. Louis for a couple years. The first tip for living safe in St. Louis is "get the fuck out of St. Louis, and if possible get the fuck out of Missouri".
Re: Fight for What's Right: The Protest Thread
As an ex-resident myself, that's advice I've followed without regret.
Re: Fight for What's Right: The Protest Thread
"Tonight, I would like to apologize for identifying individuals who presented letters to me at City Hall as I was answering a routine question during one of my updates earlier today. While this is public information, I did not intend to cause distress or harm to anyone. The post has been removed." Mayor Krewson says as I pour kerosene on her and then light some torches nearby before realizing oh wait shit sorry is that bothering you? My bad. I did not intend to cause distress or harm to you.

Yeah, Trump's unapologetic stream of projectile hate is more respectable than this grima wormtongue sniveling.

Another attempted lynching. Fortunately this guy was able to get away and is fine.

Confederate Statues Were Never Really About Preserving History
This won't be new information for anybody here, but it's got graphs. Might be useful in the off chance that you know somebody who might reconsider their support for traitor statues when faced with factual information about their origins.

Re: Fight for What's Right: The Protest Thread
The ones that always kill me the most are the Jeff Davis ones and the Bedford Forrest ones.
Davis being arguably the highest traitor of them all, and a politician, when the notional claim they're usually selling is that bullshit about military "gallantry" (... pastoral scene of the gallant south..).
Forrest was just a genocidal lunatic even BEFORE he founded the KKK - as one fella said, if anyone should have been hung for war crimes or treason after the South was crushed, it was Forrest. But I guess celebrating the founder of the KKK is one of, if not the biggest nods to the real reason those monuments went up.

I'm not foolish enough to think anyone is going to get their parents or whoever to actual watch it, but this video has some great points you can break out next time someone says "the confederate statues I understand, but the founding fathers? Too far."

Just get a bunch of Canadians to tear those ones down >:D
(except we just polled at 82% in favour of continuing to keep the border closed, so you might have to wait a bit).

Re: Fight for What's Right: The Protest Thread
This is from a little while back.
What I love most about this, is that now we're seeing situations where cops are being filmed - press conferences, on the street, wherever - where they're seemingly randomly talking about "fire mages" without any context.
Re: Fight for What's Right: The Protest Thread
Protestors in Portland and San Diego have been getting snatched up by masked, badgeless, federal(?) goons and kidnapped into unmarked vans.
No follow-up on what happened to any of them yet.
Videos of this occurring can be found in replies to this twitter thread:

Re: Fight for What's Right: The Protest Thread
What bothers me about the secretive masked paramilitary unit being deployed in Portland, aside from illegally kidnapping innocent protestors and going equipped to fire live ammunition at protestors, is the footage which shows them putting down a line of smoke to screen themselves.
The main reasons a unit would put down smoke are to screen a retreat, or to prevent enemies from accurately firing on them. If it's the latter, it means the unit is genuinely concerned of being fired at, despite the fact that this has not happened in weeks of protest. This could suggest that they're comprised in significant part of Kool-Aid drinkers who genuinely believe the hype about Antifa being a terrorist organization (as opposed to forum slacktivists and random white guys who want to punch a policeman).

It's easier to get a kid who's been really, really, really bad to believe in the existence of poetically just boogey man.

Stormtroopers confused by naked woman. Mostly butt but she turns around at the end.

Re: Fight for What's Right: The Protest Thread
In my experience, the venn diagram overlap between clueless incels (or their historical antecedents) and stormtrooper goons is pretty high.
I think my all-time favourite permutation of that was the run of ISIL personals that were all basically "Hellooooo ladiiiies".
