New headcanon: the Russian mafia is responsible for the zombie plague, and 50 Blessings was trying to prevent the apocalypse right until Biker put an end to them.

(Timeline issues are handwaved by psychotropic drugs, you don't even know, I can't hear you lalala.)

CS-GO Twitch chat bot infecting unwary users with Steam-emptying malware

Of course the best defence is what it always has been, not to agree to strange requests from people you don't know or trust. But these bots are certainly getting more sophisticated!

I backed Wasteland 2 way back when it first came up, and I just put my first few hours in to it. It is fucking great. It's the first of the Kickstarter RPGs to come out other than Shadowrun, which was a much more limited endeavor, and god damn if it doesn't feel like everything I used to love about these games. If there was a little Interplay logo at the start the effect would be perfect. Here's the launch trailer.

Wait... a KS-backed video game that didn't end up as a half-baked orphan alpha released as "final" after the devs ran out of money?

What crazy world is this?

Planetary Annihilation came out for real recently too. It's weird.

Funny you should say that ...

I know, Early Access instead of KS, but same thing.

Oh that was the game most recently in my mind, in that regard. Haha.

Whoa dang I forgot I even backed that one. Thanks for the reminder!

I wonder if anything else slipped my mind...

Ha ha whoops Road Redemption also just came out. Man it's like September Christmas over here.

By now the earliest games I've backed that haven't come out yet would be Project Eternity and the new Torment.

As a fellow backer, if you didn't know the second you gave money to 'project eternity' that that's how long it would take to come out you're crazy.

Oh I'm not saying I'm surprised at it, it was just a sort of deliberately absurd "chronologically, what's next""

I know it's Double Fine's business how they run their, uh, business

and they're certainly getting the money to make it worthwhile

but maybe

just maybe

it's not tenable to run an indie business from fucking san francisco

It's amazing how KI design decisions make an XBone title look like a Mortal Kombat game for the PS2.

GG Xrd, on the other hand, remains the stuff of boners.

When I scrolled to that last video and saw the still screen I thought "Wow, Carmen Sandiego sure is showing a lot of boob these days."

What the hell, brain?
