Pokeymans

Postby McDohl » Wed Jan 22, 2014 12:19 am

Back to Pokeymans, and it would seem that the Pokemon Bank and Transfer have been re-enabled in the Japanese Nintendo eShop. Here's hoping that NA, Australia, and EU aren't too far behind.

By the way, if people are interested in Tyrunts - I can breed up perfect Tyrunts (perfect IVs in everything except Sp. Atk, Adamant nature) at a rate of about 1 every 6 that I breed. So basically I can trivially breed them, IE I have... five currently bred and ready to be traded.

Lady Duke, please tell me you didn't transfer all of those pokemon one-at-a-time, without pressing the Start button to change to multiple selection mode.

I do not need a Shaymin.

I need nothing, for I Have 718/718 Pokemon.

If they released a game where Pokemon could equip hats, we'd never see Lyrai again.

They could equip hats in the musicals in generation 5. Other accessories, too. However, that minigame was simply terrible.

Duke, on the old forum, you said you had a shiny Riolu. I can trade my beautifly for it tonight after work.

Oh, good, Pokebank! Now I can gradually get back on my lazy ass and construct fightan teams.

Riolu is not up for trade, and I already have a bunch of shiny wurmples so I can get a beautifly. I want some stuff I don't have.

In regards to that, I also need to trade just for the data on Meloetta and Genesect (or regular trade--i have a lot of event legendaries). I could swear I did the events for them, but I can't find them on any of my carts :(

As usual whenever I hit endgame of any pokemon, I'm having a hard time deciding on a team. Balancing my childhood ideals of a team full of pokemon I would actually want to hang out with and my new (and limited) knowledge of all the crazy background numbers games leaves me in the awkward delta under PvE falls, not making it down PvP river. I'm very proud of that metaphor.

Anyway, this is what I'm going to be looking for:

Quagsire - Slowbro - Snorlax - Slaking - Sableye - Meowstic

Quagsire would lead up the team with a lot of mass and Recover. The other heavies would have similarly tanky builds with a lot of yawning. Sableye and (male) Meowstic both have great support potential and versatility as strikers.

If there are any recommendations for egg moves I should look into other than Recover on Quagsire or reasons why this entire comp is terrible and I'm a bad person getting them before spending hours making poke-babies would be the best chance.

Bros...need to trade just for data: Genesect, Meloetta, Heatran, Dusknoir, Porygon2, and I think that's it.

In Black 1, I bred some guys and trained them despite their suboptimal natures, because I wasn't very diligent at breeding and I didn't have a vast supply of good-natured dads. They had competitive movesets and everything, and I even got several of them up to level 100 in Join Avenue because I couldn't think of a reason why not to.

Today I transferred them forward and, because they weren't as good as the stuff I can breed now, I Wonder Traded them away. I think most of them wound up in the hands of actual kids, even.

I've received so many things in Wonder Trade that I am virtually guaranteed to get, at minimum, a PP Up at the lottery every day, but if I ever decide I need even more, I'll definitely hatch a bunch of Miltanks all named "your mom" and have them holding a Burn Heal.
