Re: State of the Brontos
A way to mark all topics as read on the unread topics page would be good.
Re: State of the Brontos
Also, avatar size limits are a little small. Is it one of the things where we need to tweak the theme or it'll start sticking horizontal scrollbars on them or start fucking up page margins?
Re: State of the Brontos
We hadn't run into anyone who needed the avatar size expanded yet.

Can't actually start a new topic in the hidden forum. Permissions issue I guess?

I think I fixed it.
...but is it art?
Re: State of the Brontos
We could use a spoilers thing again. I liked the spoilers thing.
Re: State of the Brontos
I miss topic subtitles. Good opportunity to wedge in snark.
This next one is less of a feature request than a fix, but quoting a post should specify + link to the post being quoted, not just show the username.
Current behavior:
Preferred behavior (ballpark representation, anyway):

Re: State of the Brontos
Seconding thread subtitles. Those were fun.
Oh, if we're bringing karma back at any point, can we have, if not attached comments back, at least the list of posts you got karma for. Not that I like to beat off to my most appreciated bits of snark, it's just when we got rid of the comments and the list I normally had no idea where my karma was even coming from.

Re: State of the Brontos
I liked topic subtitles but the problem is that updates have a history of breaking them and leaving us with titles that don't make any sense.
I'm ambivalent about basically reproducing the existing categories from the other forum. On the one hand, they worked pretty well. On the other, I like shaking things up now and again.
Good: private forum that is not also punishment forum.
Bad: I think it's safe to say at this point that Spambot Thunderdome is a failed experiment. We keep shaking the jar but they never fight.
And seriously, come on, swear filter?

Re: State of the Brontos
No way spambot thunderdome is the modern marvel of our time. It'll work someday I swear.

You should be able to see poll options at the bottom of the new topic page. If you don't, we pineappled up permissions~

Amused that our only current empty forums are named "Community Projects" and "Excellent Posts".
Re: State of the Brontos
Also there's no timezone option for Arizona or checkbox to disable DST, which is going to be inconvenient in about two months.

Re: State of the Brontos
So how difficult will it be to get the old emotes back?
Re: State of the Brontos
I'd be more interested in having thread icons replaced first; the New Posts icon is pretty dinky and I keep missing it.
Am I making too many suggestions? I feel like I'm making too many suggestions.

Re: State of the Brontos
Yeah, I'm basically browsing the forums via touch right now and that itty bitty new page thing is both tiny and in an awkward position.
Re: State of the Brontos
What do we think about vast repositories of social handle threads? I was thinking of porting over at least our 3DS friend codes list but I can't help but think this might be a good times to implement a better solution (I dunno, a wiki? Filling out our own god damn profiles? etc.) Also, trying to decide if such a thing should go in the private boards or not...

I don't think it's super out of line.
The assumption is that we're going to more or less restore all the basic utilities from our old boards, minus some kruft we never used. I figure Brent & Kabbage will work on whatever's easiest for them to get out of the way first, but that when considering equally annoying tasks they'll pick something someone's bitched about to work on first. Or not. But there's no harm in asking, because it all has to get done sooner or later anyway.
