Wow, even the Times is in on this amateur-hour horseshit these days.

Florida Paper Super Sorry About 'What's So Bad About Boys Being Proud?' Op-Ed
Evan Hurst wrote:One of the vilest things white conservatives do these days is when they play dumb about how they're supporting straight up Nazi/white supremacist/eliminationist value systems. Sure, a case can be made once in a while that a person really did not know. But usually, you know, fuck off. It's trolling.
This is absolutely a case of fuck off.
The Sarasota Herald-Tribune in Florida is having to apologize for a real piece of shit it published from a woman named Melissa Radovich defending the Proud Boys, in which the author actually tried to convince us Proud Boys were just nice proud dads who were proud, and also concerned. To the paper's credit, the piece has been fully removed, instead of there being some pablum excuse about why they had to leave it up for free speech reasons.

Still waiting for an editorial where someone mistakenly congratulates the Proud Boys on their commitment to supporting gay rights.

...Jesus. And I thought the Eccleston thing was bad.
E! News headline: "Why Child Actors Were Warned About Matt Berry on the What We Do In The Shadows Set"
It's because he curses a lot.
This is it. The worst headline I have ever seen. Until the next one.

Wowwwwwww
Re: Jernalism!
Actual question: Is that libel?
Re: Jernalism!
Not if child actors were warned that Matt Berry swears, which is sounds like they were. It's just... scummy.

Yeah, I think Royal's right. If they'd just made vague innuendo about child actors being warned about him with no further context that might qualify, but it's attached to an article that explains the context, the "Why" in the headline implies there's context in the article, and a headline on Twitter vaguely alluding to something but not explaining what is probably sufficient to establish that a typical reader familiar with the speaker and the context would suspect it's unreliable clickbait.
Then again, after Depp v Heard I can't say with any confidence what a jury will decide is defamatory.

It's more or less a glorified book review with a clickbait title. Long story interminable: during the pandemic and political unrest, more people are morbidly curious about what happens when society collapses and widespread famine ensues.

Re: Jernalism!
No GiantRobo, Joe Rogan's podcast dropping to 2nd place is not "Getting Crushed In The Podcast Rankings.", so fuck off.
Re: Jernalism!
Much as I hope it begins a trend, you can't call it "getting crushed" while it's still in top 100
How fleeting are all human passions compared with the massive continuity of ducks.
